What Is the VersiFlex SG500?
Full-Color Cotton Decoration in a Compact Desktop Format
Sawgrass VersiFlex is a patented decorating system for the SG500 and SG1000. With genuine VersiFlex ink and VersiFlex Light transfer media, it brings full-color decoration to compatible cotton and natural fabrics without conventional HTV cutting and weeding or the powder-and-curing workflow used by many DTF systems.
The SG500 keeps that workflow compact. Its standard tray supports media up to 8.5 × 14 inches, while the optional bypass tray supports media up to 8.5 × 51 inches for longer designs.

Fabric color matters. VersiFlex has no white ink channel, so white, light and bright fabrics provide the most predictable direct VersiFlex Light results.

Does VersiFlex require cutting or weeding?
No conventional vinyl cutting or manual weeding is required in the standard VersiFlex Light workflow.

No. The standard VersiFlex Light workflow does not require adhesive powder, a powder shaker or a powder-curing station.
Can I make traditional sublimation products with VersiFlex ink?
Yes. A printer dedicated to VersiFlex ink can also support compatible traditional sublimation applications when used with appropriate sublimation transfer paper, supported color profiles and correct heat-press settings.
Can I convert an SG500 already using SubliJet UHD to VersiFlex?
Sawgrass recommends keeping each printer dedicated to the ink system with which it is initialized. Use a dedicated VersiFlex printer rather than converting an existing printer using another Sawgrass specialty ink system.
Does VersiFlex print on dark cotton shirts?
VersiFlex does not use a white ink channel. Sawgrass recommends white, light and bright fabrics for direct VersiFlex Light decoration because the underlying fabric color influences the final appearance.
