Three Important Things to Know About Sublimation
1. Use Sublimation-Compatible Products
Traditional SubliJet UHD sublimation works best with polyester fabrics and products manufactured with a sublimation-ready polymer coating. Ordinary uncoated products will not produce the same transfer result.
2. A Heat Press Is Required
The printer creates the transfer, but heat completes the sublimation process. Choose a flat press, mug press, tumbler press or other appropriate heating equipment for the products you intend to decorate.
3. Choose Your Ink System Before Setup
Select SubliJet UHD or VersiFlex before initializing your SG500 or SG1000. Once a printer is established with an ink system, keeping it dedicated to that system helps protect consistency and reliability.
