Most importantly, this DS40 has been professionally refurbished by DNP, the original manufacturer, and includes a 90-Day DNP Manufacturer Warranty. It is not simply a used printer or a unit refurbished by an unrelated third party.
Designed for photo booth operators, event photographers, studios and professional printing businesses, the DS40 offers fast photographic output, convenient front-loading media and a proven professional printing platform.
Refurbished by DNP. Backed by DNP.

Why Choose a DNP-Refurbished DS40?
The DNP DS40 established a strong reputation among professional photo booth operators and event photographers. Its combination of printing speed, consistent photographic quality and practical front-loading design made it a popular choice for on-site photo printing.
Although the DS40 is now classified as a legacy model, its established professional design continues to make it worth considering for compatible printing workflows.
This manufacturer-refurbished bundle offers several important advantages:
- Lower initial investment: An affordable entry point into professional dye-sublimation photo printing compared with purchasing many current-generation printers.
- Manufacturer refurbishment: The printer was refurbished by DNP itself rather than an unidentified third-party service provider.
- Manufacturer warranty: A 90-day DNP warranty accompanies the refurbished printer.
- Professional photo quality: Dye-sublimation technology delivers smooth tonal transitions and consistent full-color photographs.
- Convenient front-loading design: Paper and ribbon media are accessible from the front of the printer.
- Included supplies: Genuine DNP 4x6 media for 800 prints is already included.
- Portable package: The included PrinterBAG carrying case makes transporting and storing the equipment easier.
Fast, Professional Dye-Sublimation Printing
The DNP DS40 produces a standard 4x6 photograph in approximately 8.9 seconds, according to DNP's published specifications. Its roll-fed system supports 400 standard 4x6 prints per media roll before reloading.
Instead of liquid ink, the DS40 uses a thermal dye-transfer ribbon and compatible DNP photo paper to produce continuous-tone photographs. A protective overcoat helps resist fingerprints, moisture and everyday handling.
With the appropriate media and compatible printing software, the DS40 supports standard 4x6, 5x7 and 6x8 photos. It can also produce two 2x6 photo booth strips from one 4x6 print when the software supports that layout.
Included 4x6 media capacity: Up to 800 standard photographs, or up to 1,600 individual 2x6 photo booth strips using a supported two-strip layout.
Ideal Applications for the DNP DS40
This refurbished DNP printer bundle can be an excellent value for professional users whose computers and printing software are compatible with the DS40.
- Photo booth businesses: Print customer photographs and photo booth strips at weddings, parties and events.
- Event photographers: Deliver finished photographic prints during corporate events, celebrations and other functions.
- Photography studios: Produce professional prints using a compact dye-sublimation system.
- Photo booth startups: Begin offering professional printed photographs without the expense of a brand-new, current-generation printer.
