THE SPECIFICATIONS, EXPLAINED

A closer look at the printer behind your next photo experience

A great event print is more than an image on paper. It is something a guest takes home, shares and keeps. But behind that moment are practical questions: How quickly can the printer work? How often will you change media? Will it fit your booth?

This guide puts the DNP DP-RX2 photo printer specifications into that everyday context, with a complete technical table and a straightforward guide to the printer and its media.

DP-RX2 features—and why they matter

Speed and capacity: think about the whole event

DNP lists up to 290 standard 4 × 6 prints per hour under the conditions above, with up to 700 standard 4 × 6 prints per roll. Its space-saving cabinet also matters when planning equipment placement.

Our planning perspective: estimate the number of finished prints your event will need, including extra copies. Printer output is only one part of the queue; capture time, guest selection, image processing and media changes affect the complete experience.

Sticker printing: give the photo another place to live

The DP-RX2 supports adhesive photo media as well as conventional photo paper. DNP describes applying sticker photos to everyday items such as smartphones and notebooks.

An idea for your packages: offer guests a choice between a traditional keepsake and an adhesive photo. For a branded activation, consider how the photo design will look both when handed out and after it is applied.

Media status: know what is left before the rush

Operators can check the media size and remaining print count in real time. This helps them decide when to replace media and can reduce interruptions during busy periods.

Our planning perspective: make checking the remaining count part of your pre-event routine. Keep replacement supplies accessible, particularly when guests are likely to arrive in groups.

Three things to confirm before building your setup

1. Space beyond the cabinet. The dimensions above describe the printer. Leave room for cables, ventilation, output collection and servicing; confirm the required clearances in the final manual.

2. Your software and supplies. A USB connection does not by itself establish compatibility with your operating system or booth software. Likewise, do not assume RX1HS media or accessories transfer to the DP-RX2 without DNP confirmation.

3. Availability before an event commitment. A phased global launch does not mean every country receives stock at the same time. Confirm local availability before assigning this printer to a paid booking.

Guidance from a DNP dealer serving the industry since 1996

EventPrinters.com is an authorized DNP dealer operated by Southtrend Corp. We have served the professional printing industry since 1996, with a focus on printers and genuine OEM supplies for photo booth operators, event photographers, studios and commercial photo businesses.

Our approach is practical: begin with the print format, expected volume and workflow, then evaluate the equipment and supplies together. A specifications table is useful when it helps you ask the right questions about your own business.

How this guide was prepared: technical figures come from DNP’s official announcement. The event-planning suggestions are our editorial guidance. This is a manufacturer-based preview, not a hands-on DP-RX2 test or an independent performance review.
