What Is Sawgrass SubliJet UHD?
The Traditional Sawgrass Sublimation System for SG500 & SG1000
SubliJet UHD is Sawgrass's genuine CMYK dye-sublimation ink system for the SG500 and SG1000. It is optimized for polyester textiles and products manufactured with a sublimation-ready polymer coating.
Sublimation is different from a surface transfer. Under heat, sublimation dyes transition into the compatible polyester or polymer coating, producing a vibrant image that becomes part of the product surface.
Best suited to: polyester apparel, jerseys, mugs, tumblers, drinkware, photo panels, coated metal, signs, awards, gifts and other sublimation-ready products.
Not traditional cotton printing: standard dye-sublimation does not directly bond to ordinary 100% cotton. If cotton and natural fabrics are important, compare the Sawgrass VersiFlex system.

Three Important Things to Know About Sublimation
SubliJet UHD is designed for polyester fabrics and products manufactured with a sublimation-ready polymer coating. Ordinary uncoated products will not produce the same result.
The printer creates the transfer; controlled heat completes the sublimation process. Choose the press appropriate for your products — flat, mug, tumbler or another specialty press.
Choose SubliJet UHD or VersiFlex before initial printer setup. If you need both workflows, separate dedicated printers are the preferred approach.
