Prints per roll and per carton

At 430 prints per roll, the P630A carries noticeably more 4×6 capacity than most printers in its size class — which is the point of the design. Fewer roll changes matters most on a long activation or an unattended kiosk.

Before an event, not during one. A driver or firmware update is worth doing when you have time to make a real test print — same computer, same booth software, same template, same print size you will run on the day. Updating an hour before a wedding is how a working setup becomes a broken one.

One year, original purchaser only

HiTi warrants the printer against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, for printers bought and used in the United States or Canada. The warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable if the printer is later sold or leased on.

Keep the original invoice

HiTi requires the original purchase invoice or sales receipt as proof of the purchase date in order to obtain service. Scan it and store it somewhere other than the printer case.

Buy from an authorized source

The limited warranty does not extend to any printer that was not purchased from HiTi or from a HiTi authorized reseller. This is worth checking on marketplace and grey-import listings, where the unit may be genuine but the warranty is not.

Non-HiTi parts

HiTi lists damage caused by the use of parts not manufactured or sold by HiTi as an exclusion from warranty coverage. Worth weighing against any saving on non-genuine consumables.

Pack it properly for return

Improper transportation or packing when returning a printer to HiTi is a listed exclusion. Keep the original box and inserts — a transit-damaged printer is an expensive way to learn this.

Also excluded

Misuse or negligence, use outside the printer's normal intended purpose, failure to follow the user manual, modification of the printer, service by anyone other than HiTi or a HiTi authorized service provider, and damage from power failure, lightning, static, fire or flood.

Before you contact HiTi

Have these ready. It shortens the process considerably:

The printer model — P630A, not P630 — and serial number. The original purchase invoice, which HiTi requires for warranty service. The firmware and driver versions installed. Any message or indicator the printer is showing. The media size and type loaded, and whether the fault occurs with a fresh roll. Your operating system and version, and whether printing goes through booth software, a kiosk application or a direct driver print.

If you bought the printer from us, call us first on 305-653-0037 — we can often tell from a description whether it is a media, driver or genuine hardware issue before you open a repair case.

Where HiTi does not publish something — as is currently the case with a downloadable P630A user manual — we say so plainly rather than pointing you at a general page under a specific-sounding label. Where a figure could not be verified against a HiTi document, we leave it out.
